Day 13: Ask for Help When You Need It and Lend a Hand When You Can
Today’s Lesson: Ask for help when you need it. Lend a hand when you can
You may have heard this before. Asking for help is a sign of strength not weakness.
I apologize in advance for tossing scripture around but King David said about 3,000 years ago, "where one can chase a thousand, two can put ten thousand to flight." I don't know if the Psalmist was talking about vanquishing enemies or what exactly but the power of having a buddy in the time of need is the lesson. You are exponentially stronger when you have a partner. One plus one can also be eleven. (1 + 1 = 11) When your partner is weak your strength increases, when you are weak, your partner just knows what to do and what to say to lift you up.
We all need help at some time of another. That's just life and since we are tribal creatures, it's in our DNA, we will need others at various times in our lives.
It's nothing to be ashamed of and life is a lot easier once you find your base of support. If you haven't thought much about this before, it could help to identify who comprises your support system.
