Today’s Lesson: The supernatural is the natural not yet understood. (Elbert Hubbard)
Using this definition, there are so many supernatural processes happening right now that I can't even begin to fathom. Who understands the bottling of electricity? All I really need to know is that if I flick the switch, the light comes on. There might be a few electrical engineers that could give a reasonable explanation of how electricity works, but even the most eloquent and educative explanation may fail to actually describe the phenomenon of electrical power. "You see there are these electrons..."Thank you Benjamin Franklin for braving the storm and initiating a serious inquiry by bottling a lightening bolt!"

Within our bodies, there are a lot of processes that we really don't fully understand or even begin to understand. But the occurrences are so consistent we count on them and even take them for granted as just part of the process of life. Regeneration and the rebuilding of our cellular mass. How we can donate blood and regenerate that quart that we donated. We can breathe consciously but we also continue to breathe unconsciously. The need for oxygen is so great, it's part of the autonomic system. The beating heart... The adrenal response to an emergency. So many...

Medical advances are stunning. We are living in an age where medicine can do some amazing things to help us live longer and a better and more comfortable life. My job as a health coach is to emphasize prevention more than recovery. But the foundation of health lies in holism and living within the rules of naturalism. 

  • My head is bursting with the joy of the unknown.
    My heart is expanding a thousand fold.
    Every cell, taking wings, flies about the world.
